Yonex VCORE 2026 - SPIN ACCESS GRANTED

TOKYO, Japan — The 8th-generation VCORE series introduces Yonex’s most advanced spin technology to date. Built around the concept “SPIN ACCESS GRANTED,” the new VCORE aims to give every type of player greater access to reliable, high-performance spin. This aligns closely with feedback from the All Things Tennis testing team, whose full-range review highlighted how accessible and complete this update feels on court.

Using Yonex’s ISOMETRIC square-shaped frame and a newly reshaped upper hoop, the 2026 VCORE delivers the largest sweet spot in the series’ history. During testing, the ATT players immediately noticed how forgiving the frame felt across the string bed, particularly in the 98 and 100 models, which offered a clean response even on slight mis-hits. The expanded inner frame grooves increase flex and help the frame hold the ball longer, which testers described as giving them “more grip on the ball” and a clearer sense of connection at impact. Newly engineered grommets enhance string movement, allowing the racket to produce noticeably stronger snapback and easier access to spin.

The aerodynamic refinements were also obvious in play. ATT’s testers commented that the new models cut through the air more freely than previous generations, especially the 98 Tour and 100D, which felt more stable and efficient during aggressive, high-racket-speed swings. Across the range, players reported that the VCORE delivered easier acceleration and a sharper, more predictable launch angle, making it easier to shape the ball and attack with height and spin from anywhere on the court.

Yonex’s latest carbon technologies in the frame, yoke, shaft, and grip provide a balanced blend of stability and power. The testers found that the VCORE range felt more solid at contact compared to the previous generation, with improved ball hold and a more composed response during heavy hitting. The 95 in particular surprised the team with its blend of precision and accessibility, while the 98 Tour stood out for players who wanted maximum stability without losing manoeuvrability.

For beginner and intermediate players, as well as juniors moving into adult frames, the new alpha models offer an excellent bridge. These rackets incorporate key technologies from the main VCORE series but remain easier to handle and more affordable. ATT testers felt these models would be ideal for players wanting to step toward a performance frame without immediately committing to the demands of the 98 or 98 Tour.

The VCORE series continues to be trusted by professionals on the tour. Players scheduled to use the new generation include Tommy Paul (USA, World No. 20*), Elena Rybakina (KAZ, World No. 5* and 2025 WTA Finals champion), and Jasmine Paolini (ITA, Doubles No. 3 and 2025 French Open champion). Their input has helped ensure the updates match a wide range of swing speeds and playing styles while still unlocking top-tier spin performance.

INNOVATION

ISOMETRIC
A signature Yonex technology that enlarges the sweet spot by aligning the main and cross strings to create a more square-shaped hitting area. Compared with traditional round frames, ISOMETRIC provides a sweet spot approximately 7 percent larger and delivers improved control without compromising power. Trusted by top players for over 40 years, it continues to evolve with each new generation.

Spin for Everyone: Four Key Technologies Behind “Spin Access Granted”

  1. Sweet Spot
A newly designed upper frame enlarges the sweet spot for more consistent spin and fewer mis-hits. Testers found this made the 98 and 100 models noticeably more forgiving than previous versions.

  2. Snapback
The enhanced grommet structure increases string movement and improves snapback. ATT testers consistently described the new VCORE as producing easier, heavier topspin, even for players who don’t naturally generate extreme speed.

  3. Speed
The refined aerodynamic beam reduces air resistance for smoother swings. Across the test group, players noted how quickly the racket moved through contact and how easy it felt to accelerate during big baseline exchanges.

  4. Stability
Yonex’s carbon technologies, including Servo Filter, 2G-Namd Flex Force, and VDM, combine to improve feel, hold, and stability. Testers praised the improved sense of control on high-impact shots and the frame’s ability to maintain shape and accuracy under pressure.

Launch Details
The new VCORE racquet series will be available globally starting January 9, 2026, with additional models releasing February 27, 2026.
