The HEAD Extreme MP UL is a tennis racquet for beginner and intermediate players who want power and spin without the weight. Aerospace caliber Hy-Bor increases stability through impact, while the 16x19 string pattern and spin grommets amplify spin on every shot.

The Extreme MP UL delivers high-speed spin and effortless power for players elevating their game. This tennis racquet combines an ultralight frame with an open 16x19 string pattern that loads the ball with rotation on every swing.

Hy-Bor reinforcement in the shaft stabilizes the frame at impact. The material—originally developed for aerospace applications—adds structural integrity without extra weight. You feel the difference on off-center hits: the frame stays composed, and the ball stays on your strings for longer. Auxetic 2.0 in the frame geometry enhances that connection, giving you clearer feedback on contact.

Spin grommets at strategic positions let the strings move more freely during ball contact. The result is a steeper brush angle and more revolutions per second. Sound grommets contribute to the signature crisp feel that defines the Extreme family. Semi-transparent grommets throughout the frame add a refined look while maintaining the technical performance.

The Extreme MP UL sits at the entry point of the Extreme MP progression. It's built for beginner to intermediate players who want more spin and pace, and for advancing juniors ready to step up from junior-specific frames.

Technologies

Hy-Bor: Play with confidence and power with new Hy-Bor technology. Made with state-of-the-art materials, Hy-Bor has compressional strength that maximizes perceived stability.

Auxetic 2.0: Feel every shot and get more confidence in your game with HEAD Auxetic 2.0 technology. It actively responds, giving real-time, super-accurate feedback.

Spin Shaft: The spin shaft provides optimized lateral stability, creating higher spin potential

Spin Pattern: The open 16/19 string pattern maximizes string snap-back for greater spin generation

Sound Grommets: Sound grommets provide enhanced power via greater string movement and optimize sound and vibrations

Spin Grommets: Spin grommets allow for greater main string movement in all directions for maximizing power and spin.
