The HEAD Speed Pro (2022) has for a long time been associated with Novak Djokovic, and the racket really does encapsulate the iconic player. In a sleek black and white classic design, this fast paced racket suits players who are looking for a racket that can do it all with ease. 

When we tested this racket we found that the addition of the Auxetic technology really took this racket to the next level. It provided great feel and touch, especially by the net, whilst stiffening up on more aggressive shots and thereby creating more power. Although the HEAD Speed Pro (2022) is not necessarily engineered mainly for spin, due to the swing speed of the racket, we were able to get a good amount of bite on the ball, despite the 18x20 string pattern.

This model was by far preferred by the more experienced of out testers. This is not a surprise, as it does require some experience to get the most out of this racket. We would therefore recommend this racket to players who already have a developed playing style, and is looking for a racket that suits a fast-paced game.

Auxetic > Auxetic constructions contain unique qualities. It is a soft fibre that when put under pressure, or "pulled" the fibres widens and stiffens up. This means that when you're playing, the racket offers touch and feel on less powerful shots, while providing more power and stability on more powerful shots, such as a serve or aggressive baseline shots. The bigger the force, the greater the Auxetic reaction. 

Graphene 360+ > This technology has been used by HEAD for the last few years. Adding graphene around the frame and in the throat strengthens the racket. As a result of this, you gain more stability, and optimise energy transfer, which means that more of the energy will go back into the ball, rather than travel up your arm.

Speed Pattern > A special string pattern for the Speed series which creates the perfect combination of power and control. 

Speed Beam > An aerodynamic cross-section on the beam of the frame. This increases the swing speed and enhances power. 

Directional Drilling > This technology increases the power as well as the sweet-spot, and creates a comfortable, plush feel upon impact

Power Grommets > The enlarged grommets allow for more string movement. This means that upon impact you can get more contact time between the ball and strings, and means that the strings will snap back into place after hitting the ball. This will allow for more spin and power
